RESPECT: The Musical Journey of Women

Book by Dorothy Marcic

June 19th through June 27th, 2015
Grace Performing Arts Center

The journey of women, told through Top-40 music, from "Someone to Watch Over Me" to "I Will Survive." From the codependence of "I Will Follow Him" through the anger of "These Boots are Made for Walking," beyond the cynicism of "What's Love Got to Do with it," and finally to the strength of "Hero." Combining excerpts of 60 hit songs with women's own stories about finding dreams, lost love, relationships, entering the workforce, gaining independence, and more, this show is more than just a story worth telling, it's a must-see and must-hear.

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar

by William Shakespeare

June 28th through July 26th, 2015
Soldiers & Sailors Park, Free Admission

Friends, Romans, Countrymen... Et tu, Brute... Veni, vidi, vici. The original, and perhaps the ultimate, political thriller. Before there was Scandal, before there was House of Cards, before The Tudors or the The Borgias, there was Julius Caesar. In 44 BC, a conspiracy against the Roman dictator, Julius Caesar, resulted in his assassination at the hands of the Senators, the conspirators\' defeat of the at the Battle of Philippi and many of the most famous lines that Shakespeare ever put to paper.

July 2nd through July 11th, 2015
Grace Performing Arts Center

Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. The ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother includes "Let Me Entertain You," "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "You Gotta Get A Gimmick" and of course, "Rose's Turn." This is a gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business.

The Drowsy Chaperone

Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison

July 17th through July 25th, 2015
Grace Performing Arts Center

Winner of 5 Tony Awards, The Drowsy Chaperone is a modern, Jazz age musical that features one show-stopping song and dance number after another. With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not so bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight. Hailed by New York Magazine as "The Perfect Broadway Musical!"

The Fox on the Fairway

by Ken Ludwig

July 29th through August 2nd, 2015
Grace Performing Arts Center

A tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, The Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it's a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers' classics. A charmingly madcap adventure from Ken Ludwig, the author of Lend Me A Tenor, about love, life, and man's eternal love affair with... golf.
